EM/MA is a Minneapolis-based design collaboration between friends and former classmates Emily Weich and Maritza Ramirez. Together, they encompass a diverse fashion background, ranging from Emily's forte in merchandise planning to Maritza's design and construction knowledge.

Emily graduated from St. Kate’s in December of 2007 with a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising and a minor in business. In her free time she enjoys designing and constructing garments. Her designs are a mix of classic silhouettes with feminine details. Her love for textiles and fibers is always apparent in her selection of unique fabrics.

Maritza will graduate from St. Kate’s in May 2008 with a B.A in apparel design and a minor in Art/Art History. She enjoys all things antique and vintage-inspired. In a world of fast-paced frenzy, she longs for the day when garments were constructed with delicate attention paid to detail and perfectly executed craftsmanship. Her designs tend to be girlishly playful with a somber, muted color palette.
