Ivan Idland grew up on a ranch in a sparsely populated area of eastern Montana. There he was inspired by the vastness of the land and sky around him. At Concordia College in Moorhead Ivan became involved in the theatre program where he spent time in the costume shops. In 2000 he moved to Minneapolis, where he continued to sew and design for himself and others. "If you prefer to blend into a crowd, then my clothing is probably not for you," he says. While he has in the past designed for both men and women he says he especially enjoys giving the fashion-conscious man more options to choose from in a world often times ruled by uniformity and tradition.

Ivan is a musician and has played at various venues throughout the Twin Cities. He is working on recording an album of self written and played music to be released in the near future.
